    Baccarat is not the game with the lowest edge. Craps is better if you take double odds or higher when you bet the pass line. I don't think you can get an edge at baccarat unless you can cheat like Phil Ivy, who won a lot at Baccarat from a British casino that way.

    1) Backing your pass line bets actually lowers your overall odds. I didn't believe it either at first.

    2) You can beat baccarat if you use labouchere, and find a table that sets up nice for it ($5-$5000). They even give you the pen and paper so you can write out your labby lines. I've done it.

    If you are playing a game where the odds are against you, no betting system will give you an advantage. Any betting system that makes you increase your bets when you lose is potentially disastrous, because it makes you bet more than you otherwise would. Why do you think the casino gives you the pen and paper so you can write your labby lines? They're clearly not afraid of you beating them.

    That's not why they give you the paper. They give those papers out to the superstitious Asians who want to keep track and try to use hocus pocus numerology or to use a very complex predictive model to try and gain an edge. http://wizardofodds.com/games/baccarat/history/

    Labouchere has never been disproven. Naysayers either don't understand what it is and confuse it for martingale (see above), or they disbelieve it because they're lazy and thing nothing can be beaten ever (see above).
