Tips capping
First id like to give mad props for the wealth of knowledge iv collected on this site
Im just looking for some capping tips
are there any books yall started with? all i can find online are basic tips
im trying my best to learn from what i see here

5Dimes is essential for MMA betting, Bookmaker for the livelines, but you need to line shop on as many sites as possible.
It's all about the matchups, if you want to be succesful betting the sport, you gotta know what you're looking at. A lot of people here lose and lose and lose because they just go by public opinion and hype build up for the fighters. (See Brooks, and others on this site).

Use this, it will give you the implied value of the line you're getting. If you feel the outcome is more likely you can bet it, there's different models to figure out how much if you want to go that indepth with it.

Interesting thread - to read tips etc. As a long time lurker, hardly post the only feedback Id give to others here is a seeminly under-appreciation of how teams/gyms/coaches are incorporated into capping.
Ie, 2 of the major upsets of late have been JW fighters, fighting with their brains. Overeem and Holm. There are some gyms who do the same thing over time, and others like JW who will have their fighters adapt, grow with the sport and their fighters generally have a higher fight IQ.
This week we have JW v ATT - Condit v Lawler. I think this should be a pick em, but honestly the camp is leaning me towards favouring condit pulling out a grinding decision win. I think condit has enough tools for the camp to figure out a plan.
Coner is another - he is a smart fighter and its painfully obvious he studies and studies opponents to the Nth degree.
Generally, the game is understanding what it is - finding value against the 'bookies' where the bookies generally will find a line which represents the weight of money they expect on a given outcome - not necessarily what the 'real' odds should be.
The key is finding the value when the weight of money has it wrong, and hope over time this edge is the difference to you.
The other problem is betting too much - on a given card, you may find 1, 2 or 3 bets. But if you are consistently betting on 10-11 fights on a card, you are in for pain. Thats what the bookies want you to do.
Even things you do know will sometimes bite ya in the ass especially in MMA Sanity.. I know you know this... A lucky punch or the favored fighter is mentally or physically off for reason going in and that blows up your MMA logic.. This sport is mostly mental so ya gotta lean on the current fighter trends and what is working best... Envisioning the style match ups...
Getting the best odds after that is up to you.. It does ad up over time and don't be lazy like me sometimes.... Miri is right in this regards to best odds play for every bet....
With betting each fight in every event, my take and why I do it -
Take the coin flip fights and go with the odds value.. Overtime it works out if you are atleast 50% on those picks.. That's why I bet every fight on each card most of the time except for maybe when they are close to even odds fights and I'm REALLY on the fence..
I'll lose some fights that I'm on the fence with but I also win alot of those fights as well.. That's when the odds kick in if you bet those fights with only +value over time.. Parlay up the heavy favorites to protect big bank roll dumps...

The sports books document and dates the bets for me, after the events are completed I then go back after and see how I did overall to the dollar.. What bets I won and lost.. I add it all up.. Which props I hit and didn't, etc.. I take a mental note..
I have a good idea how I'm doing during the events live as I go along and when posting....
Don't do what this chump is doing if you want to be a succesful gambler. Learn the ins and out's your self. What will you do when Jibbby drinks him self to death?
