Honestly I can't remember Halsey's fights but my notes on him from his last fight (that I haven't gone back and rewatched) are as follows - do with those what you will - not sure how/if I'm betting this one:
Very aggressive and strong, decent wrestling, can grind if necessary, good TDs, nice armbar

Brandon Halsey is a bit of a beast.. Shlemenko is the better technical striker with alot more experience. I don't see Shlemenko getting wrecked again and in the same fashion like he did against TITO.. Still this is a young, athletic, strong, undefeated big sized wrestling buck he is facing tonight in Halsey..

Tough fight to bet on.. Still on Shlemenko small.. Not confident at all though with this play...

SHOULD BE A GREAT FIGHT TO WATCH THOUGH!!!

Richman's had some tough luck recently in losing close decisions to talented guys. I agree that he should be favored here but I like taking a shot on West at those odds. This is Richman's first fight at 135 and he may have trouble with the cut (though I doubt it) and/or dealing with the speed difference at the new weight class. I don't see West finishing him but he could kick his way to a decision. He had a close split decision with Dantas, after all.

Small bet on Held -105. Hearing good things about his striking from certain insiders ^ here and elsewhere. Kid has potential at his age.

Those are the kind of notes you're taught not to take in poker, and are even worse in MMA handicapping, IMO. They're too indistinct and don't mean anything for matchup analysis.

Would you like to bet me 1000 BP whether I suggested making a play off those notes? Bava can be judge.

Shlemenko needs to drop down to 170 and consider juicing.

    ^^ You're so right Skel...

Shlemenko may get bullied again in this fight too.. Having major second thoughts on this main event play now..

Just thinking Shlemenko is more skilled and experienced and gets the KO at some point.. Dude was on a massive winning streak before getting sub'd out by Tito Ortiz... Does he lose 2 in a row now???

Flip a coin in this match up.. I'm just taking the value now at +105 I guess.. Shlemenko it is......

Marcin Held is also the call for sure... Bubba Jenkins too..

Napes, I like the cut of your j- your style, but your damn profile pic has been making my privates go public at the very worst times, and now my record is well-documented.

I wasn't assuming you were, just offering some constructive criticism. I used to make the mistake in poker of taking down my feelings and interpretations of a player, rather than specific courses of action he took. Poker actually helped me iron out quite a few mistakes before transitioning to sports betting, very valuable experience.

I appreciate the tip - I keep notes on dudes for angles to play on lesser known dudes and assist me in setting my lines on fights I cap - sometimes I don't wind up having anything meaningful/useful for a given matchup - my notes on Halsey were admittedly rather scarse - although I see you used them to lock in your play - GL

Nah, trailing people is outdated pal. I have a new system I've been working on; a predictive model, you could call it.

It's 0-1 so far with a loss in the Giants game last night, but I'm sure that's just variance.

Not interested in engaging in a real back and forth bro - think my initial statement speaks for itself and the bet post was my poor attempt at humor - I don't want to take your betpoints as you fronted me in the tourney after all and I spin shit for a living in my day job - not on here.

Your model is 3-1 so far, you just didn't use all available data to backtest it.

Richman has wanted to fight @ 135 for about a year and a half now. Bellator told him that he would get a pay cut if he fought @ 135 so he stayed @ 145 till Coker gave him the OK.
