    Sam Alvey vs Tom Watson

Jump on Sam Alvey @ +105 odds while you can! Absolute steal! I've trained with Alvey in the past as he is from Wisconsin. I have followed his career and rise in the sport for quite awhile now. The only reason he looked poor on the ultimate fighter is because he was fighting at the wrong weight class and his weight cut was brutal. Also am friends with a couple of his friends and i hear he is in a great place mentally which was usually his only burden. Tom Watson has a 1-3 record in the UFC and this fight will surely see that piss poor record fall to 1-4 with permanant walking papers! All aboard this train with large stakes Alvey is going to dominate!

Hm, interesting. How much are you putting on it? I'm contemplating a 5 or 6 unit flier bet.

$50 is my standard unit. That being said I have 10U on Alvey since he was released at +115 at Youwager. Already down to +100 now and will most likely be the odds on favorite come fight night. Him opening as a dog is truely foolish against Watson. I will probably put more on him but currently i don't prefer my bankroll to be tied up for a week and a half even though it is fockin tempting lol. Matchups like this don't come around as often as we all would like to think.

I think Sam Alvey could possible steamroll Tom Watson if he is able to implement an effective kicking strategy.

    Already on Alvey at +130

Your lipstick stains on the front lobe of my left side brains
    I knew I wouldn't forget you
And so I went and let you blow my mind
    Your sweet moonbeam
The smell of you in every single dream I dream
I knew when we collided you're the one I have decided
    Who's one of my kind

Hey soul sister, ain't that mister mister on the radio, stereo
The way you move ain't fair you know
Hey soul sister, I don't wanna miss a single thing you do tonight

I'm gonna really look into this fight tomorrow as I finish up this card..

Good inside info on Sam Alvey as I agree that he is a very tough red head and extremely hard to put away standing.. I've seen almost all his fights.. Just going off memory I also like Sam Alvey over Tom Watson.. Does Alvey have a solid ground game yet though? That would probably be Sam Alvey's glaring weakness to go along with his very average take down defense from what I remember...

This dorky cheese head ginger is never out of fight though... He brings it...

You know how you can tell that this isn't "inside info"? The fact that you already knew what it was just from watching his fights.

If OP trained with him in Wisc. of all places then any continued info. provided would be welcome.. I asked how his ground game is coming along hoping for a reply as I will be getting into this fight tomorrow? I appreciate any fighter info. anyways even if most of it is meaningless..

Sharing legit information always works hand in hand with gambling.. Injuries, weight, mental status, camp training are all important.. The more info. the merrier....

Did you read the guy's post? If he trained with Alvey these days at all, he wouldn't be referencing what a "friend" supposedly said about his "mental state", especially since that's about as unhelpful as information gets.

I strongly disagree MD.... If a fighter has lost his mojo so to speak, burned out, not fighting confident, not focused on the task at hand going in then you're not gonna get the best fighter that guy can be in the cage come fight night.. This is a very mental sport, just ask Andrei Arlovski about this subject when he didn't have his mind right....

Being focused, fighting smart and being confident going into these fights are very significant and could make the difference between winning and losing.... So a mental state should be considered as a factor in the equation I believe. Especially if you can gather that information and make sure it's 100% accurate and coming in from a reputable source......

My take anyways on a fighters "mental state"....

I don't know whether I find it funnier that you think you can actually measure someone's mental state just by talking to someone about it, or that you think that OP is a "reputable source".

    I'll give it a shot.

He's incredibly difficult to finish, he has relatively high fight IQ, Alvey probably won't try to take him down, and he's not at a sizeable disadvantage on the feet, if he's at one at all. Good matchup for Watson.
