Any exchanges that Trade in pounds?

I am currently using gemini, which is great. low fees. rapid sell and buy and withdrawals to banks. the only problem is when the withdrawal gets to my bank, I get slammed (well pay a bit too much) on dollar to pound conversion fees

I think coinbase offer it but i cant get my account verified and Ive heard of a few people on here that there bad for fees

Kraken is popular, GDAX is coinbase's exchange. I think CEX is trusted.

The other 4 just came up on a google search for 'bitcoin exchange gbp'.

I would check that they actually operate a British bank account so you don't have wire fees btw.

Also, Coinbase does have slightly higher fees than Gemini but if you trade your coins/gpb on the GDAX exchange there, directly with other users, those 'exchanger fees' are not charged.

I believe they are both about the same time wise for deposits and withdraws. Not certain as far as filling orders but would imagine that should be pretty much instant at both places anyway.

How does the fees for wire transfers work? is it percentage or flat fee. or varies depending on bank and country

Varies with bank or country fo0r international wires. It's a fixed fee not a percentage. Your bank will probably charge a fee like 10-20 pounds to receive it and if the sender bank does not have a direct agreement with your bank there can be an 'intermediary fee' for a third bank that has an agreement with both to pass it through. That can be 10-30 pounds and you never know if it will happen or not nor how much it might be. You just find out when it arrives.

bloody hell ha. think my last withdrawal of 1100 pounds i think the fee was 20 pounds plus the bump on currency change. ended up with 1063 (and minus 5 dollar 4 piound fee to sell bitcoins)

still better than waiting three weeks for a cheque from cris that costs 40 pounds. or three hundread pound for a bank transfer from them

You shouldn't see any extra fees if they use a local bank to pay you. And you'd hope they would for a big market like UK.

Guess they dont have a UK bank then. :\

It's not a huge thing money wise though if you like the exchange. Just worth avoiding if possible generally.
