New York Mets to win the World Series.

The line is +6600 at 5dimes.

As soon as I saw this line, I had to jump all over it.

    Let's go over the reasonings:

The Mets have one of the easiest September schedules in all of baseball.

The Mets are only one game out of the final wildcard spot, and only 1.5 out of the first wildcard spot. The Giants and/or Cardinals can easily be caught. Either team will be overmatched by Thor in the one game playoff.

After that, they'll play the Cubs. Their only hurdle to the World Series.

This feels like a huge overlay, +6600. Too good to pass up.

This team is about to hit their stride, Packerd.

Just need Jacob deGrom to come back strong in a week or two.

Do you know what this team did to the Cubs last season in the playoffs? Yeah, you know.

I like this play at those odds. I would like it a lot more if their starting pitchers were healthy, but if that were the case, they would not be 66/1.

Astros are currently +3250. The line has been all over the place the last few weeks. I saw them as high as +6000, I think. I've got them with average odds at about +3600.

The Mets are down to +6000 since I started this thread.

Mets have too many young pitchers with dead arms or arm trouble

    Colon has to carry them

    He's got a 2.38 ERA in 41 innings pitched.

    Small sample, but nice numbers.

Obviously I think the Cubs would beat the Mets, but in a short series, anything is possible.

I'm not even sure where else to look for lines. Most places aren't offering anything.

    The Greek has 40/1.

    Haven't seen it anywhere else.

Good luck Giant, those are great odds but without a Daniel Murphy, David Wright & Matt Harvey I think those are good reasons why you find these odds where they are....

I'll see those three guys of yours, trobin, and raise you with Jay Bruce, Asdrubal Cabrera, and Seth Lugo.

On second thought, you're probably right.

Nice value in that proposition, definitely worth a wager.

Mets have much improved bullpen to make up for loss of Harvey & non-return of Wheeler.

I do think they nab wildcard - but mets backers have as much to fear from the Nats as they do the Cubs. Can't believe Mets let Murphy walk - for a team in that market never has to be in a 'sign Cespedes or Murphy but not both' position. I would not think Mets get by Washington.

But still, plenty of value in that bet. Anyone thinking otherwise should envision betting the Cardinals instead for some context.
