More than solid. Filthy. Hitters hate facing him.

Castro nice snag of a liner to end 7th. What's he at, about 90 pitches? Not too bad.

He'd have to be 120+ pitches going into 9th to be pulled with a no hitter. At 88 pitches thru 7 he should be fine.

As a Yankee fan I remember this guy as a gas can pretty much with the Orioles.....how did he get so good over the last couple seasons?

2-0 is fragile, would rather see 4-0 to let him go regardless of pitch count. If he breezes through the 8th then np let him win it or die trying otherwise I tell him to get his pj's on and give him a handshake after 8 innings.

Obviously Maddon will know best so basically i need to just

Gotta let him go for it regardless IMO unless the pitch count is crazy

hes always possessed the "stuff" , he needed a continued chance to put it all together
Personally I thought he was a more than solid pitche from the first time I saw him pitch(while he was on Orioles)

sitting here thinking the same thing on this game.
fukk the no hitter, this game is far from over with only a 2 run lead and 6 outs left

Orioles coaches totally screwed with him. Bosio let him be himself and tweaked his mechanics. He always had great stuff, was a top prospect. And some guys are just late bloomers.

As it stands now, Arrieta has only allowed 4 runs on 19 hits in 40.1 innings in August.

Yeah I vaguely remember hearing the broadcasters saying that everyone was high on the kid but he used to get lit up badly

Glad to see him doing well for the Cubs (My NL team) and not for an AL East rival

Dodgers could be no-hit twice in one week.

    That's pretty impressive.

Standard though KLC, have to make a few clutch plays to get a no hitter.

Reminds me of when the Rays were no hit twice in a month and a half back in 2010. I'm sure Maddon is glad he is on the other side of the coin this time.

Maddon has to be the best manager in baseball.

At the very least, he's the most entertaining.
