Why is Nate Schierholz in baseball?

Serious question. What does this guy make per year? If it's anything more than a bag of dogshit, it's too much.

He plays for the perfect organization though. It's a match made in loserville.

Yeah, with the Cubs, he's a perfect fit.

I mean seriously. I know the guy is a stopgap until the real prospects arrive, but this is the best the Scrubs can find? Can't hit, can't bunt -- can't do anything, really. Just another bum on a roster full of them.

Look at this guy's fvcking stats. If he were a "professional" in any other sport, he would've been done years ago. In baseball, he makes $5 million per.

Note: in 8 years and over 2,000 career at-bats, he has 3 sacrifice bunts. THREE. Yet who did slicky Ricky Renteria send up in a huge spot last night to lay down a bunt?

    Nate Schierholtz.
