Guys, this has under all over it.

Lane has a decent ERA in the minors on a crappy team. He has been a converted pitcher for years, this isn't them just calling on a positional player to start.

To to the guy that has it at 10-3.....let us in on how you came to those numbers....please.

When you start a guy like this, especially when sitting starters, it can be more pressure on the hitters....and SD may put up no runs at all. Santana looked sick his last outing.....

You always have good information in most posts I see. This is not different. He is not a good pitcher and he is, as I said, a fill-in because they have no other option rotation wise. The only play here of value is -1.5 (well in my case -2.5) on ATL or the over. The Padres HAVE had bats the past 5 games (over 3 runs each at least) so I would still go with them getting a few. I just see ATL as such a big play here and I was even more excited seeing BJ sitting out this game. His bats have been atrocious since the All Star break. To the other guy about the 10-3 score. This pitcher is good for about 5-6 and I also factor in that SD relievers (the better ones) for innings 5-9 have been heavily used the past 2 days. I don't see them (with an early morning game) bringing in others from yesterday's game.

The game is not a lock for Atlanta with Santana on the mound. I've had some good luck betting against aces recently and Santana is not an ace. SD +180.
