    Live Betting if your friend if your team goes up 5 - 0 in the first.

    I now have hedged the bet where my Risk is $40...

    So I have the following:

    Boston to Win - Risking $1,000 to Win $1,255

    Tampa Bay to Win - Risking $200 to Win $960

    Therefore, if Boston Wins win 1,055
    If Tampa Bay Wins - Lose $40

    Not bad odds at this point...

    well done buddy, lets hope you get the right outcome. hedging is an absolute must when your team goes up by 5 in the TOP of the first...never know how the opponent pitcher will pitch and it's a 9 inning ball game.

    Price came down so I was able to at least make sure I am positive with the bet. Still heavily weighted on Boston though.

    If Boston Wins I am up $700; if they lose I am up $125.

    Boston wins - I win $457

    Well, I was confident and I was wrong. Therefore, when they went up by 5 runs, I was in a great spot to hedge. However, the longer the game went the less confident I was, so I ended up making sure I made a profit. What is it about gambling that you don't understand???

    I should have remained confident in my original bet without knowing the end result or guarantee a profit? I will take the profit every time ty...

    "being due" is the most mind boggling reason to bet. A team losing 9 in a row is losing for a reason, have they actually showed signs of winning? you might lose an entire bankroll before the sox can scratch out a win.

    Solid point; and I agree. However, I was just taking a shot; nothing more or less. If they won great; if they lost no big deal. I was lucky I was able to hedge to ensure a profit. I will be back on them tomorrow but for less than a grand...
