Mariano Rivera day at Yankee Stadium yesterday

Shout out to the greatest reliever that ever laced up a pair of spikes.
Could get 100 percent of the Hall of Fame votes his first year eligible.

One of a very few players that you can't add the words "yeah but" when discussing.
For instance, if you talk about Bonds "yeah but, what about the steroid rumors"

Rivera played the game right, never had his name linked to drugs, booze, alcohol, bad behavior, bad teammate, etc. etc.
100 percent class act, family man, man of God, can not say enough good things about him.

The most respected man in the game today.

Got it done for two decades, told the batter, "I am going to throw the same pitch to you three times, I dare you to hit it"
And 85 times out of 100 (give or take) they did not.

He's the main reason the team I root for won four championships
Thanks Mo for two decades of thrills.

For the first time in a long time I missed the 1.00 pm NFL starts because I watching YES network and the Yankees honoring MO....
@stevenash....Do you know of any other player's number being retired so soon after retirement? (technically they retired his 42 before him actually retiring)

Always one stubborn 80 year old cokksucker on the HOF panel that won't vote in first ballot guys.
    Hopefully he dies soon.
The most amazing thing about MO is he's 42 in American years, which means he's like 47 or 48 in actual age.
The most dominant MLB player to ever step on the field. Fukkin beast.

I have to disagree. Yes he closed a lot of games but he normally only pitched 1 inning. Derek Jeter IMHO is the reason the Yankees were great.

    The Killers.

    My all time favorite band.
They aren't for everybody, I get that, and I never disrespect anyone's opinion on music, but for me, they are the best touring band out there that is not past their prime and could be the last great rock and roll band.

My hat goes off to a pair of great ball players: Rivera and Pettite

Both should be in the Hall of Fame in my opinion and the greatest statistical closer in the history of the MLB, MARIANO RIVERA, absolutely will be.

And to any Yankees haters, THE NEW YORK YANKEES RUN BASEBALL, FOREVER AND EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
