Pounding Brewers -120 for 11 units

I love fading teams blindly that are in extreme funks and Padres classify as one of those teams tonight against Milwaukee. Padres have incredibly lost 11 of 12 last road games and I don't see it getting any easier tonight against a hot pitching Brewers team. Don't be afraid of Milwaukee's poor overall record, this team has been the best pitching team in baseball the last week and will be going for an amazing fourth straight shutout.

Gorzelanny has been pitching very well since being thrusted into a starting role. He hasn't allowed a single earned run in his last two starts and will be going for his 3rd straight shutout . Even better is that the Padres have struggled mightily against Gorzelanny and a road game against a hot Brewers team won't help the cause.

If the Brewers were a .500 or better team, this line would easily be in the -175 or above range . I'm capitalizing on this opportunity as Brewers are playing like a very good team at the moment.

Pounding Milwaukee for 11 units .......Best of luck.

im already on the brewers not as big as 11 units..the only thing id say about ur write up is..although gorezelanny didnt allow any runs in his last 2 starts the brewers lost both of those games 2-1 so he is getting barely any run support.

I'm aware about the run support. Braun had the day off yesterday which changes the complexion of their lineup completely.

Two runs may be enough to win this game tonight fellas.

That's correct. They still managed to get the win even with half the lineup out. Also keep in mind, when a team wins in shutout fashion for consecutive games, it's not just the pitcher. Credit is due for the defense which are helping prevent those runs.

Oh wow .....breaking news , Braun was just suspended for the rest of the season! Just came in 10 min ago:

    http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-bi...214538814.html

That just put a damper on things. Well , let's hope Gorzy pitches another shutout then. Maybe that will inspire the other talent on this team and lift the dark cloud over their poor start. I've seen teams pick each other up and go on winning streaks when their star player is out for the season. This team has four other solid hitters in Aoki/Lecroy and two all stars in Segura and Gomez. Still deep offensively.

Line didnt move much even with the big announcement. Brewers still favored -115. Books have my same sentiment as Padres are doo-doo on the road.

I'm not happy about the announcement but definitely not nervous. The strength of this team the last several games is the pitching. I've seen it happen many times where teams pick each other up and come out with a great game in situations like these when the star is out. Don't worry too much, we'll be allright.

Hoping this game stays under 9... trying to keep my streak alive on BM streak contest and hit 9th in a row and get a $100 free play

don't really have a feel for the sides though, GL MDF.... Brewers can still win w/out Braun but will the news affect the team in a bad way??? You never know

Yeah I know, I just looked over the numbers(too late for me tho, play is already in) and I dont understand why you'd fade SD here. But I'll stay optimistic with ya bro

You caught a nice break with the under, Top. Did you play that before the announcement? Looks like books just lowered it to 8.5 and they're juicing it too.

Braun does not have much impact on this game as he would of two seasons ago. Still think the brew crew are good to go here.

they don't move them as fast on the lines they post for the streak contest.... but... if it moves enough they can cancel the play anytime they want

i played the under in the streak contest with brewers games the last 2 days too... so going for 3rd in a row lol

Booom , there's that offense picking up the slack immediately as I expected. Segura and Lecroy with doubles.....brew crew with the early 2-0 lead.

I saw this thread just after I asked about your plays in my thread lol. Damn, I would've put a little on the Brewers, even after the announcement of Braun. Too bad 5dimes doesn't offer this one live. I wish they were like other books and offered all the game live...

Gorzy was cruising along for five innings, had that one bad inning. Sorry about the loss guys. Brew crew couldnt pull it off for us.

    We'll get em tomorrow.
