Two tattooed head bangers square off today at Great American Ballpark with more than just playlists in common. Their control last outing was an issue. Burnett commanded the nastiest of all nasty sliders the first two innings, then lost his feel for it. His fastball location was ok, and he survived with a decent outing, overall.

Latos had a complete clunker in Atlanta. His worst outing command-wise by far ty. He did, however, have a key missed strike call in the early going that could have changed a lot. His defense betrayed him. He still battled, and actually had a decent line-score, relative to his actual performance.

I see Latos and the Reds being a lot more comfortable today. Matt Latos has been a top five pitcher all year. The Pirates just aren't there yet. They are playing with more and more consistency and I look to bet them in spots a bit later this year. Today, lay the wood with the Big Red Machine -140

Good Luck Boys!!!
