I hope McCutchen wins. Take him off his team and the Pirates win 55 games.

Braun is a juicer, and we all know Posey is great, just not his year.

mccutchen would win if the pirates didn't fall off

i think braun gets it, especially if the brewers keep winning and make the playoffs

they might give it to mccutchen, if you look his numbers are better than posey's in almost every category. braun is ahead though in the rbi's and homers and that's big. but they are mad at him still probably. mccutchen would have more rbi if the pirates got on base more. i think braun gets it.

If that's the limit to the scope of how you view the game then you should become a sportswriter. Looking at simplified RBI:hr:avg statlines doesn't determine player value. C'mon it's 2012 for gods sakes.

Ps. It's between cutch and posey and the pirates tank will make it tough for cutch even though he's just as deserving.

A catcher playing 1B on his OFF days in AT&T park for 81 games in the nl west throwing out runners at a crazy clip, tearing up the league statewise in the 2nd half, etc

Not interested in one dimensional miller park adjusted stats. Braun is great but he's not your mvp

By that logic what would the Brewers record be without Braun? Pretty sure him having a BETTER year than last year shoves the juicer crap straight up MLB's arse.

two outfielders and a catcher. i guess mccutchen is wayyyy better at playing outfield then braun. yes posey plays in a tough park.

Ryan Braun is going to win it.

It is not even a close race.

if those give it to posey with those hitting numbers then the mvp is the same as gold glove. which it's not.

I think Yadier Molina should be in contention.

Great BA, Great with RISP, very tough to strike out and works the count very well, 20 hrs and 70+ RBI's, best defensive catcher in baseball, and always very supportive of the pitcher and just a great battery behind home plate. If the Cardinals can hold on to this lead and make the playoffs, nobody has been more valuable imo.
