    Royals Home Dogs

    • Royals have been great coming off an upset win over an division rival as a dog this season. (12-4 SU ave win margin of 1.5 runs) When Chen starts in this situation, the Royals are 3-1 SU with the three wins coming as a dog. Coming off an upset win over a division rival as a +130 or more dog this season (8-0 SU, ave win margin of 3.4 runs). Chen +130 vs. Peavy back on 8/18/12, Royal 9-4 winners.




    • Since 2009 season, the Royals are 19-8 when Chen faces a team that puts up 4.7 runs or less a game, ave margin of victory 1.5 runs. The Royals are 5-0 SU this season in this situation.



    • Chen has been a decent starter in the month of August the last three years (12-5 SU, team record)



    • Likewise, Chen is a decent starter vs. divisional opt. (since 2004 35-29 SU @ +120 average)



    • Sanchez is coming of a decent outing vs. Tor, with 6.7 innings pitched, 1 earned, 6 SOs and 5 hits. However, following a game where Sanchez puts up more strikeouts than hits allowed, his team is 2-13 SU since June 05, 2011. Likewise, following a game where Sanchez allowed one or less earned runs, his team is 7-16 SU since the 2010.



    I am going to take my chances with Chen and the Royals has a home dog tonight.

    Nicely done Royals backers - I love seeing home doggs hit.

    You can make money with KC.....they're not as bad as most people think and unlike a number of other teams they clearly haven't rolled over.

    Following a game where the Padres won as a divisional home dog...they are 0-11 SU since May 2011 (0-4 SU this year). Should be able to catch the Rockies as a home dog here..
