Live dog alert. Phil Hughes was rocked by the Jays earlier this month and lost BOTH of his games against them this year.

Soriano couldn't close a door right now if his life depended on it. He's looked really bad lately. If it's a tight game I just KNOW Girardi will try and have Soriano close it...

Teixera out of the line up. Huge... I mean huge loss for N.Y till he's back. A-Rod obviously still out.

I take my M.L.B posted plays serious. I'm 19-6. I usually post plays in the -100 to -150 range but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and play a +190. Just too much value to pass up here.

My guts telling me Romero pitches a gem tomorrow. Doesn't mean anything.... I just think he pitches well tomorrow.

    Good luck, Gentleman.

Both pitchers = Dogsh*t... so why not just play the ov? I have done very well fading Romero for awhile now on either game ov's or team ov's. He is not healthy at the moment.

Romeros not healthy? Where'd you hear this? He missed his start against Baltimore but it was rained out.

Not sure how true it is but a forum member commented last week that some buddies went to H.S. with him out in Cali and said they got word his shoulder is not right and they were thinking about even shutting him down early. The guy is a gas can everytime he starts a game the opposition is guaranteed at least 4-6 off him alone before he gets the hook around the 6th .

Couple weeks ago he gave up 3 runs in 7 innings to The Yankees. Trust me I know Romero is not a upper echelon pitcher but he's streaky and my guts telling me he's due... Idk. I think I just want to fade The Yankees after what they did to me yesterday.

Jays suck bottom line.. and they are 1-9 in his last 10 starts including giving up 6 earned in 6 innings about 5 weeks ago in N.Y. they lost 6-0. I know NY has their troubles right now with injuries but Girardi is not trying to lose games like you implied in another thread. They will get the b.p. dealt with accordingly. This is the home stretch and they cannot afford to be losing too many before the playoffs start.

And b.t.w. I see what you are saying the +190 does look good but I would not recommend going too big on it. Yanks still have enough to beat most teams and they know that losing series down the stretch ecs. at home to scrubs like the Jays cannot happen with Balty and Tampa breathing down their necks and getting hot lately.

Lol ... Before last night he had 7 saves in a row and hadn't allowed a run since July 28 ( last 11 IP)

Yeah he's looked really bad lately

Obviously you don't watch the games and you just read stats...

Did you catch the part where the save before he blew this last game he loaded the bases up without getting a single out... Against the hard hitting Cleveland Indians?

He's off... I don't know what it is but he's off. Maybe it's a Weaver thing and he bounces right back... Idk
He's just not the same 1-2-3 closer he was a month ago.

I was being a little sarcastic... I know no Manager wants to lose a game. Dusty Baker really makes me wonder sometimes, though.

Blame him? Baseball is by far the most slack, boring sport to watch on television, next to golf. But at least golf isn't on every day
Probably the only team sport around where players don't even break a sweat

Losing Tex may help the Yanks vs a lefty pitcher, as he cant hit those for crap. Toronto definitely looks tempting at this price but I just dont see them taking 2 straight in NY. The Yanks have too much on the line right now to give up a series at home.

I don't know, Man. Got swept by the Sox. I'm making a small play on it. Hughes got ROCKED by the Jays earlier this month. Ricky pitched 7 and gave up 3 last time out vs the Yanks. It's just a spot play. Hughes lost both appearances against Toronto and I'm getting it @ +190?

I could also see Yanks blowing then outta the water, too.

    BOL whatever you decide.

Mantle, I tend to agree with you.. but tonight.. it's a bashing. Yanks should have won yesterday but big homeruns kept Jays in allll night. I agree with OTL, there's no way they even allow Toronto to be in this game tonight. Too much on the line.

    Yankees. big.

Honestly I think most professional baseball players play every game to
100% of their capability. I don't buy into the "there's too much riding on it" theory. I respect the opinion I just personally don't agree.

PattyMayo, I'm not EBeefing with you. Call me a ghost or whatever makes you feel better about yourself. That whole ghost $hit just doesn't make sense to me. I'll be posting a video from Angel stadium tonight to shut down any accusations of me being PWADS ghost.

I just dont know how you guys can have THAT much faith in Hughes. He's been rocked by the Jays earlier this month.

    BOL.

Whether it's legitimate or not there's word that Ricky Romero might not be healthy... If I knew that was true I would the Yankees buy its just a rumor. If it loses it loses and I'll stand by it.

You're not worried about Hughes? Dude is lucky to be a Yankee if it wasn't for the Yankee bats he'd have about 3 wins.

Well even if the Romero shoulder stuff is just a rumor. His last couple months on the mound would go a long way to support it.
