The Nationals are currently on top of the NL East division and will take further confidence from the inclusion of Jayson Werth and Gio Gonzalez in the opener of this 4 gamer against the Miami Marlins tonight. The last time these two teams met just a month ago, the Nats who were the victors, with first baseman Adam LaRoche finally defeating Josh Johnson. The pair are expected to meet again in the second game of tonight’s double feature and will no doubt play an important part in the final score. LaRoche is currently on a .432 average, with nine RBI’s and four home runs from his last 10 games whilst Johnson is coming off two good home performances.

Experienced MLB Handicapper Ron Patrick gives the lowdown on both games in tonight’s double header and notes that Washington just dropped a series at home to Philadelphia, avoiding the sweep with a 3-0 victory Thursday.
