What if I'd told you before the season (re: Yankees -108 Sunday)

That CC Sabathia would basically be a PK against R.A. Dickey and the Mets?

I'm not saying Dickey isn't on an incredible run, but if you don't see value there with the Yankees at this number....

If you take the Mets, talk about buying high.

Good point. I don't think the Yankees will get shut down, but what do I know.

Are you going to take the Yankees??

Yes. They have their ace throwing against a team they virtually own. What's not to like?

It will be interesting to see if Dickey will regress or not. If not, he will perhaps begin to compete with possibly Cain for the NL Cy Young, if not already.

Man talk about a fascinating play. No idea which direction to go here

Dickey's due to get crushed though right? I'm not going to play a side here but I'm very curious to see how much longer Dickey's success continues

yea this game is hard to bet on. Dickey has allowed almost NO runs at all. pitches almost the whole game. People are saying he has the best knuckle ball EVER.
CC looked great last game. Yankees have beaten the Mets 16 out of 23 games since 2009. I'm taking the under.

Yankees are 42-28 and the Mets are 39-33. Yanks have an impressive 22-14 road record and the Mets are 23-16 at home.

Similar overall records with both teams sending out their aces. Yanks are the better team with the game being played @ NY Mets (more of a home field than one might think as Mets fans seem to hate the Yankees).

Line on the game is the Yanks -108 with the Mets @ EV.

I don't see anything wrong with this line at all.

Even if you love the Yanks, I can't see how one would think they are getting a great number laying small wood with the Yanks.

dont see the point in trying to force a play here. theres no real value either way.

seems like people just want some action because all the other games are day games

Yanks better Offense, and bullpen to put it simply. Makes this an unforced basic play for myself.

While I do agree that Mr. Dickey can't maintain his ridiculous pace, to say he is due to get crushed is not based on facts. It happens to everybody, don't get me wrong, but the way he has been performing is not a fluke. Below link shows league leaders for swinging strikes, yeah, missing bat's, Dickey is #2 in all of MLB, he is #1 in zone contact % (that means how much contact batters are making off him when swinging at balls IN the strike zone) He has been as hard to hit as anyone in MLB through 100 innings.

Not playing the game personally, because I agree Yanks bats are superior, and also don't trust the Mets pen. If it miraculously got to 7 I would consider the under though. The fact that there should be high humidity is also a + for the Knuckle ball.

    GL on the play NoCo.

i was going to take the Yankees again (had them last night)
but i won't go against Dickey, this is going to be his biggest game
of the year, at least that's how it's being wagged about.

and connect with some wiffle balls tonight.
    important bet to me
don't even want to post how much % of my bankroll is on this
    Go Yanks

People continue to bet against the Dickey...because the Dickey is "due".

If I were playing...I would take Dickey over that left handed fat ass every time.

i have no interest in getting involved in this one brother, i honestly cant say whether or not they get to him., i already dont like spanks in that big ballpark because fluke or not they have been incapable of scoring w/o the long ball and Shea is far from the bandbox they are used to.. going out for dinner with the family and just passing on this one, i hope i come home and feel like a ass for not jumping on spanks with you all

Yanks at -124 don't look that good anymore. I'll take them if there's late money on the Mets.

edit: for one of the first times in the year, theres rlm favoring a yanks play.

Riding on the Dickey on this one... I see CC Sabathia getting hit viciously early on while Dickey stays hard until late in the game. This visualization is based on absolutely no facts or stats and solely on my love for the Dickey.
