Seems like we should be taking a stab on some mets action.

Did you see Miguel Batista pitch last game? It wasn't pretty...

Blanton went the CG and shutout the braves last week. He's been on lately. Maybe take a stab at Phils RL

Batista is not a starter he has started 7 games since 2009. 13 Inn 13 BB 16 H 2 HR and 10 ER so far this year so basically hes gonna give you at least 2 baserunners an inning. Mets great value but this is not the spot

Blanton 21k to 3 bb on the year. Career 3.50 era vs NYM and a 1.88 era @ home this year with 0 long balls surrendered at home.

Batista 11k to 13bb on the year. Career 4.42 era vs PHI and a 2.57 era away this year. Only his 2nd start of the year. Has only given up 2 longballs this year so far. His only other start this year he gave up 6 runs. hope some of this info helps ...

I read the same -- no better -- stats about Halladay vs. the Mets yesterday.

I'm not here to argue that Batista is the superior pitcher here. Far from it. I'm here to say that these teams are for all intents and purposes even at the moment, making the -180 ludicrous.

I wouldnt go to much off past success vs teams Batista has been pitchicng since 1999 and I dont think the Phillies have had the same team since then. Blanton has been in the N.L since 2008 so his stats may be a little more accurate vs the current Mets team.

I agree with You No coin!! I posted yesterday , No Howard no Utley = no bet! No way should Hallady be -260 last night and Blanton -170 ?? Please I've been burnt early on Phillies and won't touch em laying that much juice is insane. You mean to tell my for example you would take Verlander -270 with no Cabrera or fielder in Lineup? Or pay Porcello -170 with no Cabrera or Fielder ? NO , so why do it on the phillies? With that said and the way MLB has been going Blanton probably wins cuz Halladay lost lol but still no way in the world I'm Laying that much juice on a team with 2 of its best bats out!!
