No but this year goes a long year in making him one of the all time greats if he keep's even a .330 to .340 pace up with decent power. His power and ability to make contact have been amazing this season. Great story

111 years of baseball with american and national leagues is a long time, jeter is really good but top 15 in 111 years is unlikely

I think he is slightly over rated because he plays for the Yankees. Michael Young puts up similar numbers but gets no where near the recognition

Define "puts up similar numbers". Young is two years younger and ONE THOUSAND HITS short of jeter.

Best defensive SS? No. For starters his range is simply average and can't be compared to the great ss's.

Best hitting SS? Maybe(would have to research that).

Top 15 I would say definitely not. But his career is not over. If he can put in two years hitting like he has the past two months then maybe. Some pretty great players on the top 15 list.

    Bonds
    Rodriguez
    Pujols
    Kaline
    Musial
    Foxx
    Mays
    Ruth
    Gehrig
    Williams
    Speaker
    Hornsby
    Wagner
    Aaron
    Cobb
    Shoeless Joe

16 there without thinking and without listing a single pitcher. I wouldn't consider him in top 30.

Obviously could have gone another 5-6 names before even getting to pitchers, but I'll go on the record saying I like Kaline over Bench. Kaline should have won MVP is 55 over Berra IMHO
