why take stlouis against these numbers? or under?

this makes no sense to me when people picking stlouis / the under when batter vs pitchers numbers look like this....

    Pit
    Michael McKenry R 2 1 1 0 0 0 0 0 .500 .500 1.000 1.500
    Jose Tabata R 15 7 0 1 1 4 1 2 .467 .500 .800 1.300
    Neil Walker S 17 7 3 1 0 5 4 6 .412 .524 .706 1.230
    Pedro Alvarez L 13 4 2 0 1 4 1 4 .308 .357 .692 1.049
    Andrew McCutchen R 22 8 2 0 1 4 0 2 .364 .348 .591 .939
    Garrett Jones L 20 6 2 0 1 3 1 2 .300 .333 .550 .883
    Nate McLouth L 22 6 3 0 1 4 1 2 .273 .304 .545 .850
    Clint Barmes R 6 1 1 0 0 1 1 1 .167 .286 .333 .619

If stlouis wins it would be more luck than it would be because of statistics....

way pitt hits just stay the hell away!

Key stat was before the game, in Bedard's 3 starts the offense has put up 2 runs.

i guess im looking at wrong stats....i dont tend to look at ones that dont effect each other . i.e. starting pitcher of team effects on their hitting staff

If u lose Bobby Valentine is the reason. Nothing else should be of any consequence ever.
