    every home dog today should be embarrassed

    to be a home underdog on opening day means that your season is hopeless.
    today we have some of the worst

    pitt +155
    cubs +140
    padres +140
    cleve only +110 but come on it's against toronto

    thinking of fading those first 3 dogs round robin style, anyone with me?

    That Cubs line is a joke...that big of a dog at home against a guy who hasn't pitched a real game in the majors in over a year. Great value backing Toronto today..

    Strasburg started 5 games at the end of the year last year. And put up some pretty good numbers in those starts.

    I think Mets and Clev are good plays today

    Cubs have a slim chance simply because they have the money/ability to get some deadline power if they were in it and no one is good in the NL Central anyway.

    I have no interest on betting on the Cubs to win the NL Central. But MLB isn't like the NBA. Bad teams can have really good months and some bad team will be a surprise this year. Just a question of who.

    three teams reds cincy brewers all should be over 84 wins.
    cincy is the popular pick, i guess because they picked up latos, but brewers will have the best pitching in the division with greinke-gallardo-marcum(if he is fully heatlhy), wolfe, and a great back end of the bullpen of k-rod and axford.

    axford certainly has proven he is at least in contention for the best closer in the nl. without that first game of the season,without that first week of the sesaon where his mechnics were complete ****** he was perfect.

    That doesn't mean you're good... especially when you're playing the Pirates and Astros and potentially just as bad Cubs...

    Look at the NL East and then look at the NL Central. I see a huge difference in talent across the board right now.
