Taking Detroit Tigers Every Home Game This Year -1.5

Guys... every home game the Tigs have I'm risking $100 on them. If it loses... the next game is risking $200. If it loses... the next game is is $400... you get the idea. ONLY HOME GAMES.

I think they will be a powerhouse in MLB this year... I've never tried this before in my life... and I don't believe in the -1.5 spead ever... but I do believe in the TIGS at home this year. Keep an eye on this thread!

It is 50/50 can b the worse thing ever and can b the richiest thing ever.....remember, when u bet -1.5 home teams u r givin up have inning and extra inning bcuz home team will only need 1 run to win in extra

Be careful with the 1.5 run lines. In the long run its a sucker's bet. If it wasnt, books wont offer it. Something to keep in mind about the -1.5 bet is if your team ends up winning by 1 run(which happens a lot during the course of a season), you actually end up losing more than the amount you bet because it would have been a winner if you bet the normal line.

Thus you would have to end up winning roughly two more games to get back your original amount wagered.

Something to think about, Tigers last season during the first half. If you take out all of games against strong opponents (Sox, Yanks, ect ect) and away games against better than average teams (Indians in the first half were a good team, ect) The Tigers did not go more than 3 games in a row without covering the -1.5RL. If you did a 4 game chase you would have hit gold with that team if you watched your spots. Same thing with Rangers and Diamondbacks second half of the season. When a team gets hot, and Tigs should be hot all year, the RL isn't that bad a bet.

Well I have $3,100 set aside. Going to start doing this on Thursday. If I lose 5 straight home games at -1.5 I'm fuc#4d
    100, 200, 400, 800, 1600 = $3,100

I know it was very profitable with the yankees... chase them on the rl on home series... I believe one year if u did the chase u didn't lose... I probably wouldn't double up but maybe use a labby line

I figured I wanted to change this thread up a bit. I'm taking Detroit -1.5 for every home game this year. But using a system in which you double, triple, quadruple the wager until it hits. For example: Risking 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600 etc. If my pot builds up I might even risk 3200 on a play etc. But I'm sure that would be the last wager. I set aside $3,100 for baseball only + any extra I make doing this. But, also... I want to show the Money Line on Detroit's Home Games... and factor that in with what I'm wagering. Just to give you an idea of profit/loss wagering ML's or RL's.

Silly thinking there...."unless you are counting on a two-run home run in extra innings, laying runs as a home team, which is more often than not the favorite, means needing home team to win by two or more runs through only eight innings of at bats -- a decided disadvantage which explains the vast difference in price". Around 30% of all MLB games are decided by 1 run. Because the bottom of the ninth inning is not played out when the home team is winning, it leads to a lot of one run ball games finishing in the middle of the ninth inning. The home team gets one less at bat to score the extra runs that could have won you a run line wager. Simply put, taking the RL on the dog is more profitable long term, unless one can at least find even money on the fav RL.
