Is AJ Burnett's career on the line tonight?

Can he possibly have a career left in NY or anywhere, if he shits the bed tonight?

Yankee nation is up in arms that he is pitching tonight with their lives on the line....I can't imagine he can keep pitching in NY if he is the reason they lose again

Yankees will pay anything for bad talent. That's why they have 1 championship in the last 12 years instead of 10.

Burnett will be launched from NY if he loses. However, his "stuff" is too good for someone not to pick him up. I think AJ would be hell of lot better in small market without the pressure of media, fans, etc....his problems are all mental, not physical. Someone will think they can turn him around and he would get picked up....

Burnett should give Granderson a few grand after the game for this play.

    Like Greinke in Brew town.
Put Greinke in Boston or NYC, he melts like ice cream.

    He was never really good.
He won 18 with the Blue Jays three years ago in his walk year, but lost ten, his earned run average and WH/IP ratio were barely mediocre, but Cashman didn't mind spending 50 million on a slightly better than average MLB starting pitcher.

He's only 10 over for his career (121-111)

CC is a first ballot Hall of Famer, trade Jeter? He's the face of the franchise, plus, who's in the market for a 40 year old SS.
    Trade Mo?

Dude, your post is wrong on so many levels.

ok its a little far fetched, but just saying our team is getting wayy too old. CC should be a keeper, but hes gonna demand a MONSTER 7 year contract. Mo aint going anywhere. but most yankees fans would agree we gotta dump jeter, arod and AJ

Been watching AJ since his days in Miami, he's often been good for 3 sometime 4 innings, like 1 or 2 hit good through four, then BOOM, for no apparent reason, he'll puke up a five spot, just like that, no rhyme, no reason, just POOF.
