Brewers are going to win it all!

Can just get the tell by the energy in the dugout. They have had it all year just was a bit worried of it translating into playoff production with history of guys like fielder and braun. But they are here and I bet they dont lose a game at home the rest of the way!! Phils brewers will be a GREAT matchup.

LOL, we will see when they hit the road. Pitching beats Hitting, good luck with the Phillies.

Worst team in the post-season is the Cards. But who cares who they are playing they still made it to the post-season.
Brewers are a good team, they have 3 pitchers that can match up well vs the big 3 of philly, as well as having the best 3-4 in the game, and they are hot right now. If they continue to stay hot, brewers are going to be very tough to beat.

Brewers pitching staff top to bottom - starters and bullpen - is the best in MLB. If they have a lead after 6 or 7, goodnight.

LOL, if they were so good then why were they 7th in ERA in the NL, and had a losing record on the road?

Phillies bullpen isn't as good but Madson is a pretty good closer and Lee and Halladay are so much better than anything the Brewers have and Hamels is at least as good as anything the Brewers have.

Phillies 18 complete Games, 21 shut outs.

D-Backs don't have the horses to stick with Milwaukee, Philly does. I'd love to see the little guys win, but if you look at Milwaukee against Philly's studs - Halladay, Lee and Hamels - it's not pretty over the last two seasons. I think they have one win in like six tries against that trio.

That's pretty interesting considering they beat both Halladay & Lee this season in Philly!

I think the Brewers can definitely make it to the World Series but they are a bunch of unproven players in the postseason thus far up against other teams with tons of experience...can't win it in 1 good game.

Brewers are a fine club but keep in mind all Arizona has is Upton and 7 utility guys in the everyday lineup. In otherwords they are suppose to win this series. Let's see how the next series develops.

Nice to see some bball guys here its been awhile.

I agree there suppose to win the series but they are putting on a show. Also phils losing look out for the cards. If they can still hit off the trio they will win. They have a scary good offense

Greinke looked like garbage last night... meat balls left and right... He is lucky that he was facing a rookie that looked even worse.

After Gallardo, their staff isn't very good and can't keep up with Philly or even NYY/Detroit.

Lee got busted on last night, so don't think its automatic with him. I (somewhat) agree that the Brew crew are playing with fire right now, but good pitching WILL put it out. My concern with Phily is that they're not hitting consistenly enough to give them the title right now. I'd give a slight edge to the Phillies right now (assuming they get rid of those pesky Cards), but a series with the Brewers should be a classic.

When arw people gonna realize that the phills are the best hitting team in the nl since all star break when they got pence till the time they clinched? How much more consistent to do want then 5 runs per game?

My true concern is with R. Howard. I know, I know....he hit one out in Game 1. but what happen to those bats last night when they needed them. Admit it, when Philly went up 4 to 0 with Lee on the hill...everyone thought this game was over. Now, although Larussa is no joke with his managerial skills, I still thought the Phillies' bats would get at least 1 more run. I don't know dlunc3.....there's reason for concern.

You can't look at the brewers over-all ERA. You have to look at the 2nd half ERA. For a number of factors.
    1) K-rod duh
    2) Saitio being healthy
    3) Greinke getting back to his old self

Our Bullpen ERA in september was like 1.03.
Axford is the best closer in the league right, now, its not that close IMO.
Then you got to look at all the other pieces we have K-Rod in the 8th. So that is the 8th and the 9th covered.

Then we have Hawkins who is having a great year, Saitio who now is healthy has been great the last two months. So 7th Inning is done, Saitio also is our 'lefty specialist'.

Then We also have Kameron Loe, who has been dominant in the 2nd half.

Brewers are 28-3 at home, when Gallardo and Greinke starts for us there. That is some crazy stats.

Now for the road record. Seriously, I am tired of reading people using this. Our record on the road was terrible in the first half, but it had nothing to do with being road/home splits. It had everything to do with us playing our worst ball of the year on the road. So on a long road trip we lost 7 in a row. Again, our record in the 2nd half on the road is pretty damn good.
