    True, but I think that is a product of a "chess" match. Scherzer was working the corners trying to stay away from the middle, and the Yankees were working the count trying to wait for a Scherzer mistake. Though you are right, he needs his pitch count to be in the 70s so he can be good for 7 to 8 innings.

    i thought that the Yanks would last 4 games this post-season,
    i felt that they would split in NY...

    and would fold once the HR carousel was taken away by the larger field in Comerica
    either way, they don't have the pitching to endure a 7-game series.

    Very much agree. The Yankees don't have the starting pitching to win a long series. They might sneak by with a divisional series win, but don't see them pushing through the Rangers or Rays in a long 7 game series.
