Detroit Tigers SERIES (+125) over Yankees •••>

Detroit will split games in NY...
Garcia starts Game 3... so after three games.. it's 2-1 Detroit.

Yanks do not have what it takes to come back on Detroit

CC Sabathia is not what he used to be. His weight has worn him down.
CC on short rest, and Verlander on the same rest..
    is advantage Verlander.

Conditoning counts gentlemen. No way around it.
    These are marathons, not sprints.
if you can't run another marathon in 4 days. you team is dust.

the days of the fat golfer, and the days of the fat pitcher are over.

CC pitched last on the 21st how is that short rest & who says CC or Nova lose 1 of the first 2 games.Garcia can beat Penny Porcello or Scherzer your logic is flawed.Game 4 I'll CC on the road with short rest as a dog (in your scenario) over Cy Verlander & the tigers.

Ratzz, why do you have a Yankees Logo on your avatar???

i have never seen a positive thread from your ass about the Yankees.

You want to look like like a Yankee fan, but all you do is hate on them???

Are you playing the reverse side of your postings???

    Why are you so fake???

If you really despise the Yankees, you should change your avatar.

Yankees will win the series against the Tigers by the way

look. games and athletes have evolved too much now.
you gotta be tip-top in everyaspect of the game.

the fact that CC has done so well driving a bike with a 100lb kid on the handlebars for so long
    is a feat unto itlself.

but he is older now, and has never been heavier.
he's not facing BS hitters anymore.

many of these guys are the premium bats in the league.
i am saying nothing of his mind.

If Verlander were 70lbs overweight, he would not have 24 wins..
if Sabathis were built were rock-solid, he would have passed 20..

    who was Boston's worst pitcher?

the one in the worst shape. it's a pattern.
not coincidence. after this series, it will be clear

Yanks will not lose in Bronx..CC is clutch, Verlander capable of choking..Tigers pen will not be able to shut Yanks down, no quality lefties to face Grandy n Robbie

yankee bats have the most runs, and the most HRs.. but they only batter cheap pitching.

great pitching always shuts them down.
besides. the yanks AND their fans are all HR addicts now..

so Yankee bat are always swinging for that only..
always swinging haymakers.. with guys standing on 2nd and 3rd

they get lucky, but they can't beat great pitching,
the way to beat great pitching is with great hitting. not HRs exclusively.

great boxers that jab and follow them up do great.
"Rocky Balboa's" don't really exist in boxing, or the MLB playoffs.

what happened to Yanks vs. Texas in the 2010 ALCS last year?
Lee and Wilson. pitching. low hits.

Grandy n Robbie are a combined 3 for 14 against the current Tigers lefty relievers. And in September, pretty much everyone has been able to shut the Yanks down:

Yankees in September: .239 BA, .323 OBP, .399 SLG
Tigers in September: .310 BA, .374 OBP, .519 SLG

And while CC may be "clutch", he certainly hasn't been against the Tigers, particularly against Miguel Cabrera.

Yep. Cabrera - 16 AB, 2 HR and 11 RBI. He will take Sabathia to town.

agreed. yanks can't hit great pitching...

last game Sabathia vs. Weaver (LAA) was a 6-0 shutout for the Angels..
the following game was Haren... and yanks only put up 2 in a 3-2 loss.

18 innings of solid pitching yielded 2 runs.

yanks a powerhouse, as long as they are at home vs. bad pitching..
then they all hit their HRs and run up the score..

but when they need it against Cy Young candidates... they come up short.
yanks zero hits in the All-Star game...

    and that's playoff pitching– All-Stars

"Leyland has said he won't pitch Verlander on short rest in the first round, even if Detroit is facing elimination in Game 4."

This quote points out how flawed your thinking really is!!!

i wanted to share this pick from Jimmy Boyd:

1 Unit on NY Yankees -128
Verlander was the best pitcher in baseball during the regular season, but the postseason is a different animal and so are the Yankees.

Verlander was shelled for 5 earned against the Orioles in his most recent start. He has a 4.06 career ERA against the Yankees and is 0-3 on the money line in his last 3 starts against them. He also has limited postseason experience and has gone just 1-2 with a 5.82 ERA in the playoffs in his career. The Tigers are 1-6 in Verlander's last 7 starts as a road underdog.

The Yankees, meanwhile, are 19-4 in Sabathia's last 23 home starts vs. a team with a winning record and 23-6 in his last 29 series-opening starts.

The Yankees are 6-0 in their last 6 Divisional Playoff games, and 37-15 in their last 52 home games against the Tigers. The Yankees are our free selection.

Leyland translation: "I won't use all my grenades today,
because i will need some tomorrow as well. (expectation to play beyond game 4)

using Sabathia twice that early is "little expectation" to play beyond Game 4 without doing so.

this is the questionable pick they are 'giving' away... this is how they enlist people to buy.

I'm from Brooklyn... and not even a Yankee fan (as embarressed as i am to say it, i'm a Mets fan.

But i like the Yankees and the Tigers as they are both good teams... i just know the Yankees have the edge and the upper hand with their explosive team, and they will come out on top.

Ratzz, are you a Yankee fan? why the yankee avatar?

i'm guessing you're from New York too.

this is why CC was an average pitcher end of year..
this is why Yanks won't go deep.
those 19 wins was mostly on the beginning end...

gaining weight taxes endurance/stamina. it does..
the last photo is July 3rd. TWO months ago.
    CC even bigger now

look at him.. he was slimmer than Hughes!!

Too bad for you the NYY can score on Cy Verlander without even getting a hit.

What the hell? Giving away 5 runs does not mean he got "shelled"... He didn't even acknowledge the 9-0 run prior to that game. His last playoff was over 5 years, a lot has changed. Road underdog is pretty stupid as well. It's all about winning on the road, not whether you're favourite or not.

Can't believe people pay for picks.

this rain out is even greater advantage Detroit.

CC was their only chance... remaining pitchers favor Tigers.

looks like the spankees are OUT.

Wow you really are deluded you lose your Cy young candidate to rain delay & even that is somehow to the Tigers advantage.
Fister, Scherzer & Penny? vs NOVA,GARCIA,SABATHIA bol to you sir

BTW Scherzer goes from a home start to a road start & goes from pitching on extra day(s) rest to regular rest I think this favours NYY----
Scherzer flyball pitcher now pitching in Yankee stadium instead of comerica park UH-OH
