Dimebetting (SBR rating F) closed. The site is no longer offering lines or processing payouts. Dimebetting former owner, John Vega tells SBR that he does not have the funds on hand to pay players, and is attempting to obtain a loan. The situation is similar to the one Dimebetting was in only a few months earlier; before being bailed out by, and subsequently controlled by 777Rock. The two sites have split as of last week and are no longer affiliated. However, Scott, owner of 777 tells SBR that he will take on player account balances once again, this time at 777Rock.com. John has promised to reimburse 777Rock when funds are released by his "investors".

Dimebetting (SBR rating D-) withholding a player’s funds, claiming that the person who referred this player has "scammed" the sportsbook and that the player "is guilty by association". John, Dimebetting’s owner also states that he is not sure if the player in question is actually involved in any wrong doing. When SBR asked about what the scam entailed, he replied, "I do not know, but the type of client that came in from this player was like nothing we have ever seen". SBR believes this book simply received its first taste of sharp play due to word-of-mouth from gambling forum posters, who were likely attracted by Dimebetting’s excessive bonus offers. SBR is hopeful Dimebetting will see the error in judgment and pay this player his winnings or explain which rule he supposedly broke (if any).
