We are just one day removed from the BCS Championship game, but that doesn’t mean we can’t discuss who will be there next year and the odds to win the 2013/14 BCS.
The back-to-back BCS
Champs are the obvious favorites to once against be the best team in the land
for the 2013/14 college football campaign. And why not? QB AJ McCarron will be
back for his senior year to try and accomplish an unprecedented third straight
title under head coach Nick Saban. While several other players will be leaving
this year, Saban is great a rebuilding,
so I can’t think of a single reason why we wouldn’t see the Crimson Tide in the
big game once again next season.
Now that we know had
coach Chip Kelly is staying put, the College Football odds makers have positioned the Ducks right behind
Alabama to win the BCS Championship. Electrifying QB Marcus Mariota will be
back for his sophomore year as he is expected to be one of the best players in
country next season. Oregon shot themselves in the foot this past season with
an upset loss, which took
them right out of the
championship equation, but this upcoming season they just might be right there
after it’s all said and done. Could this make the Ducks worthy of being added to your College Football picks?
The Tigers have a
shot at winning this thing, but first they need QB Zach Mettenberger to play at
a high level and then they need to handle their business against Alabama. If
both of those click, we could be looking at LSU in the BCS Championship game.
Two big “ifs”, but it is certainly not out of the question and in the realm of
Notre Dame 22/1
While it is true Notre Dame earned its spot in
the BCS Championship game this year, one thing remained clear, and that was
they are not ready just yet to compete
with the heavyweights in college
football. The Sportsbooks recognize this as well given their odds to win the
title in 2013/14.
