11.05.2011 (12:09 PM CST)
Bet33 Sportsbook (SBR rating C-) has made a number of improvements in the last six months. Bet33 has been open to discussing player disputes with SBR, shown the ability to effectively perform risk management and has revamped their business model.
Bet33 is a recreational sportsbook where professional players will quickly make the realization that they are unwelcome - the sportsbook is active in marketing and has made strides to improve their image in light of the negative press shouldered due to ownerships previous involvement with Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F). Bet33 has taken care of old Apex debts that it argues were recorded after ownership departed the now defunct sportsbook. On April 26th, SBR reported that Bet33 paid an Apex player with a six-year old payment claim.
Bet33 has not had a meaningful dispute submitted against them in the past six months - the most recent news was a player confirming a $3,000 payment in June of this year.
Bet33 players are not believed to be in danger of being stiffed, though SBR will continue to evaluate the sportsbook's standing and monitor any incoming sportsbook disputes.
Bet33's sportsbook rating has been upgraded to C-. Bet33 players with feedback are free to write SBR directly, or sound off in the SBR Sportsbook & Industry forum.

There may be hope afterall for Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F) victims. Apex stiffed an undetermined amount of players after closing shop, then resurfaced as Bet33 (SBR rating D-) Sportsbook in 2005. Bet33 was assessed with a rating of F by SportsbookReview, but later upgraded to D- after years without a sportsbook complaint.
Apex owner Robbie McPhail used players stolen funds to finance Bet33, thus Bet33 remains on the SBR sportsbook blacklist. Bet33 paid a player $3,000 in November of 2009 that reported to SBR he had been stiffed by Apex five years prior. Bet33 has requested that SBR publish a note asking former Apex players to write in with their account balances. Players can email help@sportsbookreview.com.
SBR will update this report if any former Apex Sportsbook players receive payment from Bet33.

Parlaymakers (SBR rating F) is the latest sportsbook to collapse without paying their players. The scam sportsbook was downgraded to F by SBR on February 28th after going off-line. Parlaymakers did not provide notice to players that the domain would be taken down, and ceased replying to both players and SBR shortly after the loss of their biggest processor, Gold-Pay.
The niche sportsbook had an unusual business model that allowed players to place teasers and parlays at prices offered by Matchbook (SBR rating B-). On February 20th, SBR published a report advising players to request their funds after communication brokedown from the sportsbook. Parlaymakers "Max" relied on word of mouth to bring in business for the small sportsbook, initially paying players and spamming forums to promote the brand. All future ventures started by Parlaymakers Max and associates will be added to SBR's scam sportsbook blacklist.
Parlaymakers players are asked to submit their details via sportsbook complaint form to SBR. While players are unlikely to be paid in the short-term, SBR has assisted some players in receiving payment from scam sportsbooks that experienced success after rebranding, one such case occurred when Bet33 (SBR rating D-) paid a player who had been stiffed $5,000 following Apex Sportsbook's (SBR rating F) collapse five years prior. | Parlaymakers scam discussion

Bet33 (SBR rating D-) was founded in 2005 by Robbie Mcphail, owner of scam operation Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F).
Apex Sportsbook History
Apex Sportsbook was given a rating of D in April of 2004 by SportsBookReview. Apex Robbie used his experience with online marketing to rank highly in search engines, placing Apex on the map as a sportsbook which offered too good to be true bonuses that were successful reeling in player deposits. This big-bonus business model set Apex on a path of financial ruin, and just two short months after being recognized as a (albeit lowly) rated sportsbook, Apex closed its doors and stiffed its players thousands in winnings.
Creation of Bet33 & other Brands
Apex Robbie's newest venture, Bet33, was launched in 2005 and financed with the unpaid winnings of Apex Sportsbook players. Robbie acquired new players through mailing lists and established Bet33 as another sportsbook that would appeal to bettors who would be categorized as bonus-hunters. | Full Apex/Bet33 Sportsbook report.

Phoenix Racebook (SBR rating D-) has been added to the SBR ratings guide. The racebook is a member of the Apex sportsbook family, which includes Bet33 (SBR rating D-), CanadasBookie (SBR rating D-), and others. The original Apex Sportsbook maintains a rating of F due to shutting its doors in 2004 while in significant player debt, most of which has remained unpaid. Bet33, along with the new wave of Apex financed sportsbooks have kept clean payment histories to this date. Bet33 has vowed that it would reopen old Apex cases and repay its player debt. SBR remains in discussion with Bet33 on old player cases.
02.11.2010 (01:47 PM CST)
In 2004 an Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F) player wrote SBR asking for assistance with a payment plan. In the summer of 2004 Apex officially closed its doors with over six figures in player debt. Apex ownership used the player winnings and founded a new sportsbook, Bet33 (SBR rating D-). Bet33 opened at a rating of F in October 2005. Bet33 did not follow in Apex's footsteps, and after four years of no outstanding slowpay complaints a rating adjustment to D- was made. Bet33 has remained at D- due to the fact that the Apex debt has still not been fully cleared. Bet33 claimed it would pay off the Apex player debt, but thus far has only one confirmed payment to a player for $3000 from SBR's 11/19 report. SBR is currently in discussion with Bet33 on the 2004 complaint and will update this report if any progress is made. Players that have still yet to receive payment from Apex Sportsbook are asked to submit sportsbook complaint forms.

A former Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F) player has written in after reading SBR's report on Jupiter Sportsbook (SBR rating D-) being added to the SBR sportsbook ratings guide. The player maintained a balance of $13,100 at the time Apex closed shop and walked away with players balances. Apex eventually financed a new venture, Bet33 (SBR rating D-). Bet33 opened at the mark of F, however after four years without a no-pay complaint the rating was reassessed. Bet33 has made promises to SBR that it would reopen Apex cases and use its new resources to pay players. Although Apex Sportsbook denied its solvency at the time it shutdown, Bet33 was founded in part by player debt.

Bet33 (SBR rating D-) management has not kept its promise to repay players who held balances at Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F) at the time the sportsbook flatlined. Unpaid player balances helped create the Bet33 operation, which has the same ownership as the defunct Apex Sportsbook. Bet33 was upgraded from F to D- in July of 2009 after there were no nonpayment reports in more than three years.

JupiterSportsbook (SBR rating D-) is a sister book to Bet33 (SBR rating D-). Although the Bet33 brands have not failed to pay a player since their inception, they maintain low ratings due to the fact they were founded with capital derived from defunct sportsbook Apex Sports (SBR rating F) which closed doors while owing many
players. Apex insisted at the time that they were insolvent.
From SBR's 11/19 report on Apex Sportsbook paying a player after five years: [quote]Apex ownership was adamant at the time it closed its doors that they were not solvent. bet33 management assures SBR that bet33 and sister sportsbooks are well funded and it will repay players who had Apex Sportsbook balances at the time the sportsbook flat-lined. The owner of defunct sportsbook Apex Sports (SBR rating F) has paid over $3,000 to a player owed since 2004. Five years ago the player and the sportsbook owner agreed to a payment plan. The second payment of $250 was never sent. Since Apex Sports' demise, one of the owner's of Apex Sports has opened up a new operation with its main brand being Bet33 (SBR rating D-). Bet33 has never failed to pay a player but has maintained a low rating and position on the SBR Blacklist due to the fact it was built using Apex Sports' player balances. Apex ownership was adamant at the time it closed its doors that they were not solvent. Bet33 management assures SBR that Bet33 and sister sportsbooks are well funded and it will repay players who had Apex Sportsbook balances at the time the sportsbook flat-lined. Apex victims are asked to write to Help@SportsbookReview.com so we may help in arranging payment. Bet33 will remain under review through this process.

Bet33 (SBR rating D-) and sister sportsbooks were upgraded to D- to reflect a lesser risk than the typical F rated sportsbook. SBR has not received any Bet33 nonpayment reports since late 2005 when they were added to the SBR Rating Guide. Bet33 was built with stolen player funds from stiff sportsbook Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F). SBR has had annual conversations with ownership about paying the five year old debt. The conversations had not resulted in payment. Bet33 players are unlikely to be paid if they win a high five figure sum after a large winning run.

BetPhoenixSports.com is designed to con players into believing they are actually playing with B+ rated BetPhoenix (BetPhoenix.com). The new cyber-squatting website uses the Phoenix brand but operates on the Bet33 (SBR rating F) wagering platform. This is not the first time Robbie has tried to impersonate and capitalize on the reputation of other sportsbooks. Apex owner, Robbie (AKA Zach), is operating legendsportsbook.com which has attracted bettors looking for the real Legendz (SBR rating A+).

Apex websites, ApexSportsbook.com and ApexSportsbetting.com, return online five years after closing and stiffing players. The Apex websites were utilized as handicapping and betting tips sites by Apex owner, Robbie, AKA Zach, marketed his new sportsbook ventures including his next sportsbook operation Bet33 (SBR rating F). ApexSportsbook is now one of many skins running on the Bet33 platform. Bet33, and even some players, have argued that the sportsbook should not have an F rating because the book has been online over three years and has not had any payout complaints filed against it. Bet33, its sister sites, and it's pay per head service, Realbookie.com, were built using the stolen funds from the original Apex Sports customers. Robbie has been asked multiple times in recent years to consider repaying his former customers.

The new website, which is part of the Bet33 operation that was built on the stolen funds of Apex Sportsbook players, states that it's "The most trusted sports betting site in the Philippines." Apex Sportsbook quit an SBR-monitored payment plan in June of 2004. Ownership began booking bets with credit players one month later and established this new operation late in 2005.
11.01.2008 (05:09 AM CST)New post-up sportsbook coming from owner of F rated sportsbook, Bet33
999LuckyDay is a newly built sportsbook website from the owner of Bet33, who previously operated stiff sportsbook, Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F). Bet33 ownership routinely argues that they and related books should be rated higher than F since it "has been over four years" since the last known player was stiffed. Bet33, which was built on these stolen player funds, and its affiliated sportsbooks will remain blacklisted until ownership continues with payment plans initiated four years ago.
04.27.2008 (10:51 PM CST)SCAM ALERT: New online casino, FruitnLoot launched by ownership of closed sportsbook scam Apex Sports (SBR rating F-). Stolen Apex player funds were used to start these new casinos and sportsbooks such as

Bet33. Robbie previously owned
Apex Sportsbook and refuses to offer a payment plan for Apex victims. Robbie argues his rating should be higher because there hasn't been a no-pay in three years.
12.15.2007 (11:52 PM CST)
PremierSportsbetting listed at F in the SBR rating guide as part of the Apex Group. The former owner of Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F-), now going by the name Zach, is also the owner of such books as Bet33 (SBR rating F) and Totalbets (SBR rating F). Zach repeatedly tells SBR that there have been "zero no-pays in years" but has not been willing to pay Apex victims who he stiffed before beginning his new venture.
10.04.2007 (10:44 PM CST)The sportsbook is stepping up its email campaign with 40% cash bonus offers up to $5,000. Spreading the word of high bonuses instead of investing in advertising is usually a sign that the sportsbook does not have the funds to make an initial investment and is unlikely to have the financial backing to survive a long winning streak by players, who are already ahead with bonus cash. It is common for these sportsbooks to fail, disappear and attempt to take another shot with a new name and similar bonus offers. SBR has also learned that BetCasinoSport shares the same server IP address as the website WagerParadise.com which is operated by the owner of Bet33 (SBR rating F) and stiff sportsbook, Apex Sports (SBR rating F).

Player reports sportsbook opens account on his behalf, complete with password.
"Hi Bill, I received this today from scam book Bet33. As you can see they had already created an account for me. And I can log into using a password that I normally use. I have a feeling they got my password from either RichCoast Sports or NoJuice as I know from other forums that customers account details and passwords where sold. Just thought I’d let you know so you can warn people."
Players should always use a different password for each sportsbook account. If possible, a scam sportsbook will continue to steal even after its doors are closed. SBR has received multiple complaints of theft from players who now regret using the same password with multiple betting sites.

Robbie, formerly the owner of ApexSportsbook (SBR rating F-), is introducing himself as the General Manager of Bet33 and is now using the name Zach.
