BetOnline earned its position on the SBR Recommended List through hard work, innovation and experience. The sportsbook began taking wagers online as BestLineSports in Costa Rica in 2001 using a bookmaking model that involved discounted line pricing at -108. BestLine moved to Panama in July of 2004 becoming one of two online sportsbooks occupying the country. BLS began expanding its business and by 2006 had moved into one of the industry's top facilities where it employed over 300 Panamanian citizens. Earlier this year the company made what was likely its best investment by purchasing BetOnline Sportsbook, and more importantly, its website name BetOnline.com.  
 
However, BetOnline is not one of the all too common examples of a sportsbook that plans to get by on a home run website name while leaving other parts of the business lacking. BetOnline ownership has invested in experienced wagering and customer service managers who understand that the sportsbook's first priority is service over sales. This attitude is passed along to the staff during training classes that each wagering clerk and service agent is required to pass. BetOnline treats players with respect and aims to gain a player's loyalty by providing VIP level service.

Along with a top level service, BetOnline offers incentives and high value to the bettor. The sportsbook allows the client to choose between two different aggressive benefits packages. Management's goal is for the player to be shopping between sign-up options instead of choosing between BOL and other sportsbooks. Experienced players who make many wagers will be pleased with the savings from the -105 program while the NFL Sunday bettor will enjoy making his first bets with house money in the form of free plays.

BetOnline is a good choice for the new or experienced bettor, especially those seeking relatively high wagering limits. BetOnline also excels in phone wagering but reduced juice by phone is not offered.
