Comments: To whom it may concern,
Let me tell you about my very negative experience with betonusa. I made a request for a withdrawl from my betonusa account for $497.57 (after the $5 fee) on 10/2/05. After numerous calls and e-mails I finally received my check on 10/17/05. I made the deposit into my bank account on 10/18/05. On 10/25/05 I received a notice/letter from my bank saying that the deposit was returned for non sufficient funds and I was charged a fee from my bank. I called betonusa that night and spoke with a customer service representative. I asked what happened? First they told me it was due to the hurricane, then I was told they recently switched banks and they closed that account. Basically they could not give me a definitive answer as to what happened for sure. I don't know how this could have been caused by the hurricane. The date on the nsf was 10/21/05 and the hurricane hit FL after that on 10/24/05. Also the address on the check was in PA, not in FL. I was told to call back on Friday to speak to the cashier, because the cashier was the only one that could help me. I called back on Friday. Again I spoke with a customer service representative who said the cashier department was closed for the day and I needed to call back on Monday. Today I called for the third time and spoke to a manager. The manager told me that the check was being sent out today regular mail. I asked about fed-x, the manager said it was to late for that. He told me that this happened to hundreds of customers and he made me feel like I was the only one calling in and inquiring about this. I asked what they were going to do to compensate me for the incovenience they caused me. The manager tried to get me to deposit more money into my account. He said that I could get a 10% bonus. I told him why would I put more money into my accout if they can't pay me what they owed me in the first place. Basically the manager refused to make any customer service adjustments and tried to make me feel bad for calling and explaining my situation to him, also he said that he had another customer waiting for him and he could not talk to me any longer. I will never do business with this company again. And I feel bad for the hundreds of other customers that this has happened to also. I guess I will have to wait another two weeks to get the check, and hopefully it will not bounce again. To anyone reading this please think twice before doing business with betonusa.
