Straight Bets
A wager on a game or event in which a team (or total, player, etc.) is selected to win against the point spread, odds or a combination of both.
Point Spread (i.e., football, basketball, hockey- puck line, football/hockey- money line, golf, tennis, futures, horses, auto, boxing, soccer): A wager on the selection to win outright (no point spread).
If the odds are positive (+), then the payoff is calculated by multiplying the wager times the odds (e.g., if you wager $50 and the odds are +120, the payoff is: $50 x 1.20 = $60).
If the odds are (-), then the payoff is calculated by dividing the wager by the odds (e.g., if you wager $55 and the odds are -110, the payoff is $55 / 1.1 = $50).
Point Spread with Odds (i.e., golf matchups): A combination of the two above. The selection must win by the point spread, and the payoffs are calculated by the odds.
Wagers on second half lines include overtime for Football and Basketball.

A two team teaser with a tie and a win, or a no action and a win is considered a push and your wager amount is refunded to your account.
Football Teasers: 6 pts, 6½ pts, 7 pts.
Basketball Teasers: 4 pts, 4½ pts, 5 pts.

**NEW- Pleasers (phone only)
Pleasers are similar to a teaser, only you give, versus receive additional points; additional points are either subtracted from the underdog or added to the favorite (e.g., if the regular line on your selection is -4 and you select a pleaser, then your line would be -10).
Pleasers are currently only available on Football side straight bets combined with additional Football side bets.
Other Pleaser Examples: |
|
Dallas is (-3) over Washington
|
| Pittsburgh is (-8) over Cleveland |
| A "Two Team Pleaser" on Dallas and Pittsburgh would be: |
| Dallas (-9) |
| Pittsburgh (-14) |
| A "Two Team Pleaser" on Washington and Cleveland would be: |
| Washington (-3) |
| Cleveland (+2) |
Pleaser payoffs depend on how many teams are in your wager. Payoffs are shown in the table below. If there is a tie in one or more of your individual parts then the wager steps down to the next lowest number of teams.
A 2 team pleaser with a tie and a winner it's no action.
A 2 team pleaser with two ties is a push.
* No totals are allowed on pleasers

IF BETS
An "IF" wager allows the client to make a second wager, pending a win, loss or tie on the first selection. "IF" wagers must be made on the same call, with the second part of the "IF" wager not exceeding the amount of the first selection.
There are four types of If wagers: If win is one type, if win or tie it's another type, if lose and if lose or tie. If a game is cancelled, postponed or graded no action....the wager is graded as a tie. From 2 to 6 teams. The amount on the bottom team cannot exceed the amount on top.
|
For example:
|
|
San Diego +3 $110 to win $100 IF WIN TIE OR CANCEL then Oakland -2.5 $110 to win $100.
|
If the Chargers lose, the wager is over and the client loses the $110 bet on SD +3. If the Chargers win, tie or cancel, then the wager continues on to the Raiders wager. If the Raiders win, the client wins a total of $200. If the Raiders lose, the client only loses $10.
* It's not allowed to do If Win wagers out of FREE PLAYS.
REVERSE IF BETS
A Reverse can be asingle or double action IF bets (if win bet or if win or tie bet). The same rules apply to the reverse if win as apply to the regular if win. The risk amount should be the same on every single if bet. From 2 to 10 teams.
|
For example:
|
|
Dallas -7 $110 to win $100 IF WIN ACTION then Miami +4 $110 to win $100.
|
With a Reverse IF bet, the client has Dallas -7, and if that wins push, no action, or cancelled, the client will also have Miami +4, AND the client has Miami +4 and if that wins push, no action, or cancelled, the client will have Dallas -7. It is basically a two sided IF bet.
ROUND ROBINS
A Round Robin is a combination of parlays involving 3 or more teams. From 3 to 10 teams.
|
For example:
|
|
Carolina +7, St. Louis -9, and Green Bay -4
|
|
Carolina +7

Green Bay -4
|
Green Bay -4
|
|
St. Louis -9 100/260
|
St. Louis -9 100/260
|
Carolina +7 100/260
|
The client is risking $300 to win $780.

Football / Basketball
Types of lines available for Football and Basketball: Straight (point spread & money-line), totals, 1st half, 2nd half (includes OT), and propositions.
Baseball
Types of lines available for baseball: First five innings, run-lines, money-lines, totals and propositions.
Special Baseball Rules
Baseball games are declared official after 5 innings of play or 4 1/2 innings if the home team is winning. If a game is called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the home team scores to tie or take the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called. Wagers will be refunded if the home team ties the game and it is then suspended. Events will not carry over to the following, unless otherwise specified.
For total (over/under) wagers, the game must complete nine innings (8 1/2 if the home team is winning) to have action. If a game is called or suspended, the score will be determined by the last full inning unless the home team scores to tie or take the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the score is determined at the time the game is called. All total wagers are automatically both listed pitchers (see below).
Rules for run-line wagers and propositions are the same as those for baseball totals.
There are three wagering options for baseball
Action: wager on team vs. team, regardless who pitches. If one of the listed pitchers does not start the game, the line will be adjusted to the opening line with the new pitcher.
List Both Pitchers: wager only if both listed pitchers start the game. The wager will be "no action" if either or both pitchers do not start the game.
List One Pitcher: wager only if one team's listed pitcher starts the game. The wager will be "no action" if the specified pitcher does not start the game.
Baseball Propositions:
• For wagers on Total Hits+Runs+Errors in the game, Both starting pitchers must go for action. Game must go 8½ innings if home team is winning or 9 innings if road team is winning for action. Extra innings counts. If a game goes past 9 innings and is not completed no action.
•For wagers on Team to score first and a Run scored in the first inning, Both starting pitchers must go for action.
•For wagers on Total Bases Matchups, Single=1base, Double=2bs, Triple=3bs, HR=4bs. Hits Only. Both players+starting pitchers must start for action.
• For wagers on Player proposition bets, BOTH players must START for action
Series Betting:
• Bets on a series are based on the FIRST THREE GAMES PLAYED of each series. Neither team can play another opponent between scheduled games, or the wager is graded NO ACTION. If one of the first three games gets postponed, all wagers stand (ACTION).
•If less than three games are played, the team with the most number of wins is the winner of the series. In the event that a series is only two games, and each team wins one game, the wager will be graded as a push. All wagers are based on action (no listed pitchers).
NHL Hockey Rules
1. For betting purposes, a hockey game (prop or college) becomes official after fifty-five (55) minutes of play.
2. Games lasting under official time constitute “NO ACTION” or “PUSH/CANCEL” and all the money is refunded.
3. NHL COMPLETE game wagering only. The game must play to completion. For grading purposes, all goals scored during regulation and overtime are counted, plus one goal for the winner of a shootout, if it occurs.
4. For “period” bets, the full 20 minutes of the period must be played to have action.
Golf
Types of wagers available for golf: Odds to win & place (top four) tournament, odds to win foursome, straight bets on daily matchups (odds plus stroke line with odds), and propositions.
For any wager, if the selected player (or opponent if daily matchup) does not tee off, the wager is "no action", and the wager amount will be refunded. For stroke line wagers, the player with the "-" is the favorite and the "+" is the underdog (e.g., you wager on Fred Couples (+2) over David Duval, Couples shoots 68 and Duval 67: Couples is the winner by a margin of one stroke since Duval was favored by two strokes).
Odds to Place: wager on a player to finish in first through fourth place for the tournament.
*If there is a tie for fourth place, the payouts are calculated by dividing the payout odds by the number of players tied for fouth place (e.g., you wager $10 on Tiger Woods to place, his place odds are 6 to 1, and three players tie for fourth place: payout= 6 / 3 = 2; $10 x 2 = $20 total winnings).
Odds to Win Foursome: wager on a player to place higher than the other players in the tournament. If there is a tie, the leader following the previous round is the winner. If two players tie every round, the player who was leading latest in the final round is the winner.
Daily Matchups: wager on one player to place higher than another, either for the tournament of the specified round. If there is a tie, the wager amount will be refunded.
For future wagers: In the event that a tournament does not play the specified number of completed holes (usually 72), and the PGA officials shorten the tournament, the leader at the end of number of holes determined to be offiial by PGA officials shall be the winner.
Tennis
Types of wagers available for tennis: Odds to win tournament, odds to win daily matches, and propositions.
Horse Racing
Types of wagers available for horse racing: Odds to win, place & show; exactas, quinellas, trifectas, and propositions.
Auto Racing
Types of wagers available for auto racing: Odds to win race, odds to win matchups, propositions.
Soccer
There are different ways one may wager on soccer. Sportbet offers Sides, Totals and Draws.
Example:
| Manchester United |
+150 |
| Liverpool |
+160 |
| Draw |
+220 |
| Total |

MONEY-LINE (SINGLES BETS):
Involves betting on the outcome of a match in 90 minutes (i.e. 1st half and 2nd half), choosing whether the game will end in a home win, an away win or the draw. Extra time does not count in this case - as in many Cup matches, when goals scored in extra-time do not count for wagering purposes. However, separate odds are often quoted for a team to go through to the next round (either through winning in Extra-Time, by Penalties or by the Golden Goal) - these wagers are usually termed "Outright Winner" wagers, as opposed to "Within 90 Minutes Winner" wagers.
Other
Wagering will be available on other sports and special events, and will be included in the futures page.
In the instance that a scheduled event does not take place on the scheduled date, all wagers will be graded as no action, and the money will be refunded to the players account.
