The maximum payout limits apply to individual events. These limits apply even if the prices confirmed on the bet receipt suggest a higher payout. The limits refer to the total return on the bet, including the original stake. If a multiple bet has been placed which involves events with different maximum payout limits, the lowest limit will apply.

All maximums stated within these rules apply to any one customer, or group of customers acting together, backing the same combination of selection(s) even if it is done in a series of bets, at a range of prices, over a number of days using different betting accounts and/or across our different betting channels. Should we have reason to believe that a number of bets have been placed in this way the total payment of all those bets combined will be limited to one single maximum payout.

Results

All bets placed on UK and Irish horse racing will be settled on First Past the Post and the official result. This offer applies to win single and multiple bets and the win part of each way bets. There is no restriction on staking and payouts are subject to our advertised payout limits.

The exceptions where First Past the Post does not apply and bets are settled according to the official result are:

a) A selection taking the wrong course
b) A selection carrying the wrong weight or the jockey failing to weigh-in
c) Any Ante Post bet
d) A Forecast or Tricast bet
e) A void race
f) Any Tote/Pari-Mutuel bet
g) A selection given as the winner in error by the judge
h) A Tote bet
i) A bet placed on the Favourite Points or Distance markets
j) A bet placed on a two runner race or a special match bet
k) A bet placed in a without the favourite market
l) Any other special market

Horse racing bets placed on non-UK/Irish meetings are settled on the official result declared by the racecourse judge and confirmed by the Weighed-In announcement. If a winner is disqualified after the official result is announced, the disqualification will not affect the settlement of bets.

In the case of Greyhound racing, bets are settled on the official result announced at the conclusion of the event. If a winner is disqualified after the official result is announced, the disqualification will not affect the settlement of bets.

In the case of Football and other Sports, bets are settled on the official result published by the Press Association (PA), immediately after the match/event is finished. If the PA amends their decision after this period, all bets will stand on their original result. If the result is not immediately available from the PA, the result published by the official governing body immediately the match/event is finished will be used for settling purposes. Any subsequent corrections or amendments to this result will not apply for settlement purposes.

Voids

Wherever the term 'void' is referred to in our rules, the selection concerned will be treated as follows:-

Single bets- Stake returned
Multiple/Accumulator bets -Void selections treated as non-runners with the stake running onto the remaining selections in the bet.

Dead Heats

Dead heat is a term that generally describes when two participants in an event tie for first and second place. If a "dead-heat" is declared on any event, half the stake is applied to the selection at full odds and the other half is lost. If more than two "dead-heat", the stake is proportioned accordingly.

Ante Post

Ante post bets are those placed at our quoted prices on named selections taking part in an event before it has started (For example bets placed in January on The Derby). Each-way terms will be available on ante post events as advertised at the time.

Should your ante post selection fail to participate in the event, the bet is a loser.

However, the following are exceptions to this rule;

If the race / event is abandoned

If the race / event is declared void

In the case of horseracing and greyhound racing, if the conditions of the race entry are changed prior to the horses or greyhounds coming under starters orders

If the venue is altered

In the case of horseracing, a horse is balloted out or eliminated under Jockey Club Rule 125, or prevented from running under Jockey Club Rule 1A

Where we offered specific terms such as "with a run" at the time a bet is placed and the selection is subsequently withdrawn as a non-runner.

In all the above cases, ante post singles would be made void. Other than the terms shown above, ante post bets are accepted on the basis of all in, run or not, entered or not and therefore an ante post bet on an eventual non-runner is a loser.

Where the above conditions apply to selections in an ante post multiple bet, the selections in question will be treated as a non-runners and the bet settled at the ante post odds laid on the remaining selections.

Related contingencies

When the same selection is taken browser window to win more than one event, the only bets available at access the current odds are singles. Special prices apply to all doubles, trebles, accumulators and so on.

For example,

Nashwan to win 2000 Guineas and The Derby
Real Madrid to win La Liga and the Champions League
Warwickshire to win all four English County Tournaments
Tiger Woods to win all 4 Major golf titles

When we offer betting opportunities from the same event, these cannot be combined in accumulative bets where the outcome is related. The only exception to this is where special fixed prices are made available, for example; a Scorecast on a football match.

Acceptance and validation of bets

For a bet to be valid a receipt number must be sent through to the customer after they have clicked on Place Bet to process the bet. This unique bet receipt number confirms that the bet has been accepted. Customers can check that their bet has been processed correctly by going to the My Account button at the top of the screen and entering the date the bet was placed. Details of all the bets processed on the account will appear on the screen. Only bets that appear on the Account History are valid transactions.

It is the responsibility of the customer to check the Bet Slip carefully to ensure the information is correct before clicking on Place Bet. It is too late to cancel or amend the transaction once the receipt number has been sent through to confirm the bet has been accepted.

Bets placed by credit, or debit card, do not become valid until Ladbrokes has received payment. If payment has not been received before the event commences, then that bet is automatically void.

Ladbrokes reserves the right to accept or decline all, or part of any bet requested.

Bets received by post, email or by any other form of data transmission are not accepted.

Where we believe that price or pool manipulation, or match-rigging has taken place, either as a result of the size or volume of bets received, or from other evidence, or where the integrity of an individual event is called into question, we reserve the right to withhold payment and ultimately to declare bets on that event void.

Ladbrokes reserves the right to close a customer's account without notice. Should this occur all outstanding bets will stand.

If an event has not started, a customer can only change or cancel their bet with our permission. Bets cannot be changed or cancelled if a price has been taken on a selection, or if it is a multiple bet and one of the selections has already taken part in an event.

Paying for Ante Post bets - Ante Post bets placed on a debit/credit card account are paid for at the time the bet is placed. For Credit account customers, payment for Ante Post bets is made at the time the bet is settled, subject to the agreed credit limit. Ante Post bets will appear on the account statement on the day the bets were placed. They will also appear on the account statement when the bets have been settled.

Time of Acceptance

Bets are valid if accepted before the official off (start) time processed by our system for all events covered in our Full Service.

Bets are accepted up to the advertised start time for meetings and events that are not covered as part of our Full Service. Selections on any bet accepted in error after the advertised start time will be treated as non-runners, unless it can be established that they were accepted before the actual start time. If a selection in a bet has been accepted in error after the actual start time for events such as a Golf tournament or Cricket match, we will take into account the length of the event. The bet will stand providing nothing significant has happened which could affect the final outcome.

Tote bets cannot be processed once a pool has closed.

The fact that the bet is processed is not proof that it is valid for that event. Please check with Customer Services if you are unsure. Bets processed in error after the result is known, or where there is a clear indication of the likely outcome will be void. In order to ensure a bet is on, it must be placed before the official off time.

With the exception of Betting In Play, every effort will be made to remove the opportunity to bet on an event once it has started. Should an event which is not Betting In Play, remain open on our website after the event has started, Ladbrokes reserve the right to refer back to the actual start time and treat any selection placed on the event after the actual start time as a non-runner.

Should this occur every effort will be made to contact the customers affected to inform them of the error and to offer them the choice of keeping the bet at the correct price, terms or market conditions (if available) or voiding the bet. If no contact is made, the bet will stand and will be settled at the correct price, terms or market conditions.
  • If the bet was accepted in error and the price, terms or market conditions were not available at the time it was placed, the bet will be void win or lose.
It is the customers responsibility to notify Customer Services immediately should funds be credited to their Ladbrokes account in error. Should this occur, these funds are not available for use and Ladbrokes reserve the right to withdraw these funds and to void any transactions placed using them.

Any results or scores displayed on the site for example during betting in play are for guidance purposes onlyrules.
