General sports betting rules

1. Cassava Enterprises (Gibraltar) Limited (the " Company") is the bookmaker with whom all bets struck on 888sport.com (or any future white label version thereof) are placed.
2. The maximum bet per selection is determined exclusively by the Company and is detailed on screen.
3. The Company reserves the right to accept, or decline, a proposed bet.
4. Bets may be placed up to the actual start time of the particular event unless specified otherwise.
5. Each bet will be given an individual number shown on your bet confirmation screen.
6. Except as provided, bets may not be cancelled/changed by the client once they have been accepted by the Company.
7. We cannot allow for mistakes nor accept responsibility for any errors or omissions in respect of the posting of prices, runners, times or results despite our every effort to ensure total accuracy. We reserve the right to correct obvious errors (for example voiding bets struck after an event is underway or based on incorrect odds).
8. All odds displayed are for information purposes only. All odds are therefore subject to change and only the odds at the actual time a bet is accepted shall be valid.
9. Where there is evidence of price, race, match or event rigging, we reserve the right to make bets void or withold settlement of bets pending the outcome of any subsequent investigation.
10. If any client has a complaint relating to a bet it should be received by the Company no later than 28 days from the date the bet was placed.
11. There is a limit on the maximum amounts that can be won (excluding stake) by one customer in one day's betting regardless of stake. These maximums will still apply even if by taking prices the level of potential winnings exceeds these amounts. The current maximum payout is £250,000 or equivalent in chosen currency (unless stated otherwise within these rules). All maximums stated within these rules apply to any one customer, or group of customers acting together, backing the same combination of selection(s) even if it is done in a series of bets, at a range of prices, over a number of days using different betting accounts and/or across our different betting channels. Should we have reason to believe that a number of bets have been placed in this way the total payment of all those bets combined will be limited to one single maximum payout.
12. All results will be as published and confirmed by the Press Association unless otherwise stated elsewhere in our rules.
13. Dead Heat Rule - When a dead heat occurs for first place, the stake money on the winning selection will be divided by the number of winners and full odds paid on the reduced stake, the remaining stake money is lost.
14. Not all players are quoted in outright markets for some tournaments. If you want to bet on an unnamed selection please contact the 888sport.com customer support department and request that your selection be added to the market.
15. Unless otherwise stipulated in our rules bets will stand whether or not the selection takes part in the event, unless the event itself does not take place in which case all bets will be void. Similarly if there is no further play after a bet is struck once an event is underway (e.g. after the first round of a golf tournament) that bet will be void.
16. Unless otherwise stipulated in our rules if an event is abandoned all bets will be void even if the relevant market result has already occurred. For example, if a baseball match is abandoned due to weather before the ninth innings with the score at 10-4 and our total runs quote was under or over 9.5, bets on both under and over will be void. Similarly if a race meeting is abandoned with one race still to run all bets on distances and favourites will be void even if, for example, a bet has been placed on over 12 lengths and the make-up is already 13.
17. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that he/she is aware of the rules relating to a bet as bets cannot be voided, except in exceptional circumstances or as otherwise stipulated in our rules, once they are placed.
18. Should any eventuality occur not covered by these rules we will look for suitable parallels within our rules, or failing that general industry rules, before deciding how to settle the bets.
19. If any sums are mistakenly credited to your account, through either an error on the part of the Company or yourself, it shall be up to you to point this out. Failure to do so will void any subsequent wins caused by this error, either directly or indirectly. In such an event the Company reserves the right to take the necessary action to ensure that both parties are returned to the same position financially as that held immediately prior to the error being made.
20. The Company reserves the right to amend these sports betting rules at any time. Any such revision will be binding and effective immediately on posting of notification of such rule changes on the web site.
