A 5Dimes (SBR rating A+) player filed a complaint stating that $14,500 in
casino winnings were voided due to using a robot. A robot or 'bot' is a software
program that is a high speed autopilot that uses consistent playing
strategy. The bot allowed the casino player to take advantage of a table game that
was mistakenly set to a 112% payout return. All players who played the game
during this period held an advantage over the house. This player denied using a
robot. 5Dimes agreed to pay the player in full if SBR could show reasonable
doubt that the player did in fact use a software program to play the game.
After reviewing the hand history, it was found that the sessions lasted longer
than a normal human could play without sleep, and showed a clear pattern of
breaks down to the fraction of seconds. SBR concluded the player did use bot
software. After the bot was confirmed 5Dimes chose to refund losing
players of this game during the time period this player-bot was used. The total reimbursed
to losers exceeded the amount in dispute by the bot player and included a credit
to one player of over $7,000.
A second dispute involving two players also stemmed from a table game mistakenly
set to wrong payout odds. These two players played a game because it had an excessive payout
rate, 390%, instead of the normal 99.9% or below. One player accrued a balance of over $32,000 in less than two hours. Due to the gross error, and the fact
that these players staked small escalating amounts each hand, there was no risk to player funds. The activity in the game resulted in guaranteed
growing balances and account holders essentially being paid to play. SBR agreed
with 5Dimes’ decision to void winnings based on gross human error rule that did
not result in putting player funds at risk. 5Dimes states that the entire casino
has been reviewed and corrected and will be audited regularly. 05.09.2011 (01:15 PM CST)
5Dimes (SBR rating A+) is currently battling denial of service attack. 5Dimes management tells players that they may contact Live Help for alternate site options. The 5Dimes Group expects its sites to be 100% functional by 6PM ET.

SportsInteraction (SBR rating B-) canceled a player's wager on the Wimbledon doubles match Mahut/Clement vs Fleming/Skupski. The winning wager, which he staked €110 on, was voided after the completion of the match. SportsInteraction's position is that there was a clear odds error. At the time of the player's wager, 5Dimes (SBR rating A+) had odds of 1.64 (or -156) on the match. The player's ticket was for 1.83 (or -120).
However, the odds on the match opened at approximately -120, which is what the player wagered. The day before the doubles match, Nicolas Mahut played a marathon match with John Isner which ended up being decided 70-68 in the 5th set. Oddsmakers felt Nicolas' physical endurance after the record-breaking match would be a questionmark that should effect the price of the doubles match, so the market was updated. SportsInteraction failed to react to this odds change.
This is commonly referred to as a 'stale line'. A stale line is a result of a linesmaker failing to update the odds of a particular event, as opposed to a 'bad line' which is a clear and obvious clerical error, such as a reversed pointspread or moneyline. In this case, SportsInteraction cited a bad line rule and voided the winning wager after the match ended. SportsInteraction has canceled bets after the events began before, as was done in this December 06 sportsbook dispute. As the odds the player accepted were in-line with the market at one point, SBR has suggested that SportsInteraction pay all wagers on the stale line. SBR will update this report pending SportsInteraction's decision.
